Electronics have always been a strong interest for me, so after graduating from Calvary Temple Christian School with honors, my natural path took me to work full-time with my dad, Ken Brinkley, owner and founder of Diversified Security Systems. I had the opportunity to work with and learn from Dad’s lead technician, a former military tech, where I gained skills as an installation technician, advanced to service technician, then moved into business administration with a focus on accounting and central station logistics. After acquiring several security companies through the years, Ken was offered an opportunity for Diversified Security Systems to join forces with a larger security company and the headquarters were moved outside the area.
I recognized a continued need for a locally owned and operated security company – a company who knows its customers and can offer personal service. This led me to found Carolina Security Service, Inc.
With over 40 years experience, my mission remains the same – to provide friendly service, quality products, reliable installation techniques, and competitive pricing. Carolina Security Service is an established company with more than 99% of our business coming from satisfied customer referrals. That in itself says a lot about our reputation.
All our systems are custom designed around your security concerns and budget requirements. Unlike most security companies, we do not offer packaged deals – selling the “special of the month”. Most of these packaged deals offer little protection and come withe long-term contracts and costly monthly fees.
I do not believe in high pressure sales or telemarketing schemes. Carolina Security Service is a hometown company with hometown values. Our customer are people, not just another account.
